The Dining Room

Most theatres in Paris have been shut up for the summer for some weeks already, so it's all the more welcome when some stay open, particularly if the fare on offer is in English. For this summer production, French students at the prestigious Ecole Florent drama school perform A R Gurney's vibrant fresco of 20th-century Americana, spanning 50 years in the life of the eponymous dining room as characters come and go in its exquisite setting.

Refreshments are served outside, so theatregoers can enjoy the Parisian nightlife on the outdoor dining furniture.
