Orchestra Sinfónica Portuguesa

Portugal's only symphony orchestra, conducted by Scholomo Mintz, performs a mixed bag of works at the gleaming new Teatro Camões at the former Expo site. The programme contains pieces by Shostakovich, Mendelssohn, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Bartók. To get to the theatre, take the Metro to Oriente and walk through the riverside Park of Nations, as the Expo site is now called.
